About Me
Hi there! I'm a developer at Dropbox working on Dropbox for iOS. Recently, we added cool new features like the Document Picker extension for iOS 8 and opening/viewing shared links right from the mobile app.
Previously, I worked at Microsoft for four years, mostly developing apps for mobile platforms. In May 2010, we shipped the free Bing app with turn-by-turn GPS navigation for Windows Mobile phones, and for the next year and a half, I worked on the Bing app for iPhone. I've also developed for Windows platforms, including Bing Translator, a Windows 8 app allowing online and offline translation across >40 languages with OCR tracking for camera input, and bSeattle, a Windows Phone 7 app for discovering & browsing bars and restaurants across neighborhoods of Seattle.
I'm also the independent developer of CameraSharp, an iOS photography app downloaded over 1,000,000 times with $0 marketing spend. Of its over 900 worldwide iTunes app store reviews, 90% are 4 or 5 stars, and the overall average is 4.5 stars. CameraSharp is available in the app store.
I hold a BS in computer science & economics from Duke and an MS in CS from Stanford. I also do some contract work through Northnose Software.
